2 days ago Open Thread: The Knicks comeback is what the playoffs are all about
Photo by Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE via Getty Images Donte DiVincenzo hits clutch game clincher One full round in saw grudge matches, some great basketball, and a few boring blowouts. Nothing says NBA Playoffs like a last second comeback. Last night, it looked like the Knicks were going to lose home court advantage and let the 76ers head back to Philly with the series tied 1-1. With seconds left, the Knicks were up five points, but an 8-0 run in the last 27 seconds, including back-to-back threes by the Knicks, changed the fate. Brunson, who had yet to hit a three, dropped his first of the game. Lowry threw the ball in to Tyrese Maxey, who fumbled and lost the ball, leading to a Donte DiVincenzo miss, an offensive rebound by Isaiah Hartenstein, and the dagger by DiVincenzo. The arena erupted and the wind went from the sails of the 76ers bench. Stares of disbelief consumed Philadelphia. But believe it we must, as this is what the postseason is all about. Rooting for or against, great basketball demands attention. Welcome to the Thread. Join in the conversation, start your own discussion, and share your thoughts.
