In May 1992, Lisa Wong rescued Rosario's from bankruptcy court and reestablished it as an anchor tenant in the historic King William District. In July 1999, Rosario's moved from its original location, moving two blocks north to accommodate the growing business. The current 12,000-square-foot space has Rosario's trademark "loud and fun atmosphere". The award-winning menu combines traditional south-of-the-border dishes with authentic house specialties, all prepared with a contemporary twist.
Rosario's has received rave reviews in numerous national and local publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Southern Living, Hispanic Magazine, Texas Monthly, and San Antonio Express-News, to name a few. Zagat has rated Rosario's as one of the top restaurants in San Antonio and Texas and Texas Monthly featured Rosario's Fish Tacos as "The No. 2 Taco You Must Eat Before You Die."
