San Antonio Northside Lions Club is hosting a donor drive to benefit our friends at the San Antonio Eye Bank & South Texas Blood Center.
Often individuals will make a New Year's Resolution and not follow through withit. We're making it easy for you to succeed with at least 1 goal - the goal to make a difference through donation.
Please select an event ticket to commit to sign up to donate blood for the blood drive portion of the event. We'll be able to sign up individuals to the Donate Life Texas donor registry to help heal through cornea, organ and tissue donation at a information table in the lobby. Additionally, we'll also collect used eyeglasses.
After you've donated blood, consider scheduling to take a tour of the San Antonio Eye Bank. Annually, the San Antonio Eye Bank helps restore sight to hundreds of patients in need of cornea transplants, thanks to selfless donors and donor families.

- 1 donation can potentially save up to 3 lives.
- A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
- Less than 38% of the U.S. Population is eligible to give blood or platelets.
- Approximately 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed everyday in the U.S.
- According to the American Cancer Society, about 1.7 million people are expected to be diagnosed with cancer.. ...many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment.
