Dear friends. As you all know, on April 12th our dear friend Benny Odem III's life was tragically cut short due to a senseless act of violence.
Event Details
We would like to invite his friends, family and former teammates to come together on Sunday May 12th in a show of solidarity for “Justice For Benny”.
Some of his friends and former coaches have organized this benefit BBQ to help support Latoya Mchenry, who is Benny’s mother to assist during this difficult time. Unfortunately, Latoya had also lost her mother 6 days prior to the tragic incident which took Benny’s life. Our hope is that we could raise enough funds to assist in some of the financial burdens that this tragedy has created.
The BBQ plate will include Chicken, Sausage, Rice, Beans, & Potato Salad. We will offer canned soft drinks for $1.00 each. We will also have a drive thru area set up to pick up your order quickly just by driving up to pavilion #4 area located in the back area of MacArthur Park. In addition, We have also reserved a large covered seating area if you prefer to enjoy your meal in the park. Please feel free to share this link with any interested individuals that that would like support our efforts.
After purchasing your desired number of tickets (BBQ plates). A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you with your number of paid tickets in an e-mail to download. Please print your e-mailed tickets and bring the paper with you when picking up your plates.
