Description
It’s a Boy Scout Pinewood Derby car race. Only instead of a bunch of 9 year old’s, it’s a bunch of people in a craft beer bar drinking the best craft beers available, having fun, and helping people.
Event Details
$1 of every Deschutes beer sold will go to charity
We’ll have two categories for racing:
• Brewery vs Brewery
• Beer Drinker vs Beer Drinker
There will be a bracket style tournament in which we’ll have winners from both categories and then the brewery will face the beer drinker at the end.
Only 2 Rules in Pint-Wood Derby!
1. No propulsion other than weight.
2. Weight and size of car cannot interfere with other cars on the track.
Customer pays $20/car (50% to charity - San Antonio Pets Alive)
o Gets entry to race
o Gets token/ticket for first Deschutes beer
• Gets to race!
• Customers can either
o pick up car kits and race number at The Flying Saucer location
o use old car kits (maybe their kids cars) and sign up and pay via phone (must pay in advance to participate)
