OUR STORY FIRST AND FOREMOST, THANK YOU FOR JOINING US AT BLUE BOX BAR THIS EVENING. WE ARE SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU AS OUR GUEST. If you have asked yourself where we got the name Blue Box, please allow us to explain. When the Pearl Brewery was in operation, the employees were allowed to drink on the job (a much different take on quality control). During the day shift there was a foreman to regulate the employees' consumption and ensure that not too many beers were disappearing off of the bottling line. Since Pearl beer was in such high demand, there were employees that worked overnight to help the brewery keep up production. These "third-shifters" had the same drinking privileges as their daytime counterparts, however, they found their delicious Pearl in an unmarked blue cooler. This cooler became affectionately referred to as the "Blue Box." Blue Box Bar strives to keep the tradition alive of being a comfortable place to grab your favorite libation. Cheers!
