About Dowtown San Antonio
Downtown San Antonio is filled to the top with historical museums, dimly lit night clubs, top-notch restaurants, and some of the best entertainment on the river itself. There is certainly plenty to do no matter who you are. A first stop for everyone should be the historical Alamo where you can walk through and see the site of this memorable battle and all of it's war-touched parapheralia. Then it's off for some local cuisine, but don't worry. No matter what you pick whether it be authentic mexican or some of Texas's best barbeque you're sure to be pleased. After a leisurely lunch, you'll have time to attack the growing list of museums, malls, and entertainment. Among these the most memorable is the Tower of Americas where you can ride an elevator up the tallest building in the city at over 750 feet and enjoy the cuisine, theatre, and certainly the view. Yet, it definitely doesn't end there. Any night in this brilliant town would not be complete unless you visited the River Walk. Here, you can simply walk the river and enjoy the view or you can join some of the entertainment. Among the stores, restaurants, and people are bands playing fast music, women selling roses to couples at cafe tables, and a man calling out times for a very cheap trip down the river. It's impossible to not be enamored by this cities fast paced environment. There will never be a dull moment here in downtown San Antonio.
