We first opened our doors in 1933 on Repeal Day, a day which celebrated the end of America's 13-year-long alcohol prohibition. Lauded as the oldest bar in San Antonio -still holding the title of the longest bar in Texas- The Esquire Tavern is a venue of untouchable historic significance and has many remarkable tales to tell.
